Parents As Teachers (PAT)

Parents As Teachers is an evidence-based home visiting model. The mission is "to provide the information, support and encouragement parents need to help their children develop optimally during the crucial early years of life." PAT helps parents and caregivers understand child development and connect them to the resources they need to make the best choices for their families. Parents as Teachers offers personal visits customized for the needs of your family.

Time Limited Family Reunification (TLFR)

TLFR is a program available to parents whose children are placed in foster care with Montgomery County Office of Children and Youth (OCY). It provides additional supportive services to parents from the time when a child enters foster care. The goal is for families to accomplish Family Service Plan goals and reduce the time their children spend in foster care and return home.

Alternative Response Housing Initiative

ARHI assists families receiving services from Montgomery County Office of Children and Youth (OCY). The program supports families to increase their housing stability, to divert their children from foster care placement or decrease the amount of time their children stay in foster care placement. Families must be referred from OCY and receive up to 60 days of case management with limited financial assistance to enhance their housing stability.

Fatherhood Initiative

The Fatherhood program is uniquely designed to support fathers by providing them with increased knowledge and skills essential for raising children in today’s world. Weekly meetings are custom-designed to help fathers cultivate skills that will help them to consistently support, protect, nurture, and guide their children. The program is offered to fathers with children aged newborn to 18 and covers topics such as leadership, good decision-making, anger management, and much more.

 Your Way Home (YWH)

Your Way Home Montgomery County is a transformational partnership between government, philanthropy, nonprofits and community partners to solve - finally - the problem of homelessness in Montgomery County. CVCA is a Housing Resource Center (HRC) and serves as a central location for coordinated response to housing crises for the most vulnerable families and individuals who are experiencing homelessness or are at-risk for homelessness.
