Celebrating Martin Luther King

Updated: Apr 10, 2019

On January 21, 2019 CVCA celebrates the birthday of our greatest civil rights leader, the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Our day of service is in remembrance of this extraordinary human being who stood for social justice and equality for all. We honor Dr. King and are inspired by his lifelong commitment to improve race relations – “not just for the sake of one race but for all races – and the human race.” Following his example has never been more important than it is today in the highly charged climate of conflict in our country and throughout the world. At CVCA we strive to make a difference in the lives of the children, youth and families we serve and to help them realize their potential and thrive.
