The Schoolhouse

Our children learn best through play, exploration and discovery.

The Nursery School is a private licensed academic program and the Day Care center and before and after school program are licensed by the Department of Human Services (DHS). More than 160 children are recipients of their services.

The academic program of The Schoolhouse is crafted through a play based philosophy to enhance creativity, promote curiosity and foster a love of learning.  Learning focuses on developing the whole child by encouraging physical, social, emotional and cognitive growth.

Everyday at The Schoolhouse, the children engage in hands-on activities that are creative and fun, allowing them to make choices in a safe, nurturing, and structured learning environment.

Children are offered music, art and cooking classes, as well as weekly age-appropriate academic activities including science, social studies, math and language. Pairing age-appropriate academics with creative activities and playful decision-making promotes healthy development in children.
