Mental Health Awareness
A CVCA Conversation in conjunction with Mental Health Awareness Month focusing on racial disparities in the behavioral health system featuring Dr. Faith Dyson-Washington Chief Executive Officer of Community Behavioral Health on May 26, 2021. Dr. Washington, a native Philadelphian, is a licensed psychologist with over 20 years of experience in the behavioral health field, including evidence-based practices, clinical operations, and behavioral health policy. Prior to accepting the CEO position at CBH, Washington served as senior director of behavioral health integration at Public Health Management Corp., where she oversaw behavioral health services across integrated health services. Washington received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology and African American studies from Temple University and was awarded a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology and an MBA from Drexel University. Dr. Washington will be interviewed by CVCA Director of Behavioral Health, Dana Grace.

Women’s History Month
A CVCA Conversation and Celebration of Women’s History on MARCH 24, at 1:00 PM. CVCA conversation is a Celebration of Women’s History Month. Our guest speaker, Dr. Johnson-Speight, Ph.D, MHS, LPC, is the Founder and Executive Director of Mothers In Charge, Inc. She is a highly regarded leader, advocate, speaker, guest radio/television commentator and a clarion voice against the war to end senseless acts of violent crime. Her work, though rooted in Philadelphia, has led to national appearances and presentations across the United States and abroad.

DHS Commissioner Kimberly Ali
CVCA Conversation with Commissioner Kimberly Ali, WEDNESDAY, APRIL 28 @ 1:00 PM. Kimberly Ali began as a social worker at DHS in 2000 and rose through the ranks to the top position in the department. As Commissioner Ms. Ali oversees both child welfare and juvenile justice operations, including the child abuse hotline, child abuse prevention, juvenile justice diversion efforts, as well as the Philadelphia Juvenile Justice Services Center. During her tenure, Ms. Ali is credited with leading significant changes at DHS to improve outcomes for children and families. The Commissioner will be interviewed by CVCA Director of Community Based & Prevention Services Director Joseph Griffin.

Tolliver, Sr. of the Montgomery County Court of Common Pleas since 2014.
